Please spay or neuter you cat (or dog) so your pet won't be adding to the number of cats (and dogs) for which there are no homes. In 1996 7,338 cats and dogs were taken to the Capital Humane Society (Lincoln, Nebraska, USA) 1,974 were returned to their owners, 3,620 were put to death (that's more than half). That is just one year, in one city.
